Warnings from Jesus

⁴² “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to fall away^(A) —it would be better for him if a heavy millstone^(B) were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea.

² It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to stumble.^(A)

¹² Now when you sin like this against brothers and sisters and wound their weak conscience, you are sinning against Christ.
