^35 (A)Therefore stay awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, ^(B)in the evening, or ^(C)at midnight, or ^(D)when the rooster crows,^[a] or ^(E)in the morning—

³⁴ And he said to them, ^(A)“My soul is very sorrowful, even to death. Remain here and ^(B)watch.”^{[a] 35} And going a little farther, he fell on the ground ^(C)and prayed that, if it were possible, ^(D)the hour might pass from him. ³⁶ And he said, ^(E)“Abba, Father, ^(F)all things are possible for you. Remove ^(G)this cup from me. ^(H)Yet not what I will, but what you will.” ³⁷ And he came and found them sleeping, and he said to Peter, “Simon, are you asleep? Could you not watch one hour? ^38 (I)Watch and ^(J)pray that you may not ^(K)enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

^13 (A)Watch therefore, for you ^(B)know neither the day nor the hour.

^41 (A)Watch and ^(B)pray that you ^(C)may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

^37 (A)Blessed are those servants^[a] whom the master finds ^(B)awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, ^(C)he will dress himself for service and ^(D)have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them.

³⁶ But ^(A)stay awake at all times, ^(B)praying that you may ^(C)have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and ^(D)to stand before the Son of Man.”

³¹ Therefore ^(A)be alert, remembering that ^(B)for three years I did not cease night or day ^(C)to admonish every one ^(D)with tears.

^13 (A)Be watchful, ^(B)stand firm in the faith, ^(C)act like men, ^(D)be strong.

⁶ So then ^(A)let us not sleep, as others do, but let us ^(B)keep awake and ^(C)be sober.
