5 Waxay yimaadeen dhanka kale oo badda ilaa dalkii Gadareni. 2 Goortuu doonnidii ka degay, kolkiiba waxaa la kulmay nin xabaalaha ka soo baxay oo jinni wasakh leh qaba. 3 Isagu xabaalaha ayuu dhex fadhiyi jiray, oo ninna xataa silsilad kuma xidhi kari jirin. 4 Maxaa yeelay, marar badan bir cagaha iyo silsilado waa lagu xidhi jiray, silsiladihiina ayuu iska gooyn jiray, bir cagahana wuu kala jejebin jiray. Ninna ka adkaan kari waayay. 5 Weligiiba, habeen iyo maalin, ayuu buuraha iyo xabaalaha joogi jiray isagoo qaylinaya oo dhagaxyona isku jarjaraya.
6 Laakiin goortuu Ciise meel fog ka arkay, ayuu ku soo orday oo u sujuuday. 7 Markaasuu cod weyn ku qayliyey oo ku yidhi, Maxaa inoo dhexeeya, Ciisow adigoo ah Wiilka Ilaaha sarow? Ilaah baan kugu dhaarinayaa, Ha i silcin. 8 Waayo, wuxuu ku yidhi, Ka soo bax ninka, jinni wasakh lahow. 9 Markaasuu weyddiiyey, Magacaa? Wuxuu ugu jawaabay, Waxaa lay yidhaahdaa, Liijon, waayo, annagu waa badan nahay. 10 Aad buuna uga baryay inaanu dalka ka eryin. 11 Buurta sinteedana waxaa joogay daaqsin weyn oo doofaarro ah oo daaqaysa. 12 Jinniyadii oo dhan baa baryeen, oo waxay ku yidhaahdeen, Noo dir doofaarrada inaannu galno. 13 Kolkiiba Ciise baa u fasaxay. Markaasaa jinniyadii wasakhda lahayd baxeen, oo waxay galeen doofaarrada, daaqsintiina jarka hoos bay uga yacday ilaa badda, baddayna ku bakhtiyeen, waxayna ahaayeen abbaaraha laba kun.
14 Markaasaa kuwii daajin jiray carareen, oo dadkii magaalada iyo beerahaba ayay u warrameen. Kolkaasaa dadkii u soo baxay inay arkaan wixii dhacay. 15 Markaasay u yimaadeen Ciise, oo waxay arkeen jinnoolihii isagoo fadhiya oo dhar sita oo miyir qaba, wayna baqeen. 16 Kolkaasaa kuwii arkay waxay u sheegeen sidii ay u dhacday jinnoolihii iyo warkii doofaarrada. 17 Markaasay bilaabeen inay baryaan inuu soohdintooda ka noqdo.
18 Intuu doonnida fuulayay, kii jinniyada qabi jiray ayaa baryay inuu raaco. 19 Ciisese uma fasaxin, laakiin wuxuu ku yidhi, Gurigaaga iyo dadkaaga u tag oo u sheeg waxa weyn oo Rabbigu kuu sameeyey iyo siduu kuugu naxariistay. 20 Kolkaasuu tegey oo bilaabay inuu Dekabolis ku naadiyo waxa weyn oo Ciise u sameeyey, oo dhammaan bay la wada yaabeen.

Jesus Restores a Demon-Possessed Man(A)(B)
5 They went across the lake to the region of the Gerasenes.[a] 2 When Jesus got out of the boat,(C) a man with an impure spirit(D) came from the tombs to meet him. 3 This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain. 4 For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him. 5 Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones.
6 When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him. 7 He shouted at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me,(E) Jesus, Son of the Most High God?(F) In God’s name don’t torture me!” 8 For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you impure spirit!”
9 Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”
“My name is Legion,”(G) he replied, “for we are many.” 10 And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area.
11 A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside. 12 The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.” 13 He gave them permission, and the impure spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.
14 Those tending the pigs ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened. 15 When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion(H) of demons,(I) sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. 16 Those who had seen it told the people what had happened to the demon-possessed man—and told about the pigs as well. 17 Then the people began to plead with Jesus to leave their region.
18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. 19 Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them(J) how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” 20 So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis[b](K) how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.

Wakhti dheer dhar ma sidan jirin, gurina ma joogi jirin, laakiin xabaalaha ayuu dhex joogi jiray. 28 Goortuu arkay Ciise, ayuu qayliyey, hortiisana ayuu isku tuuray oo cod weyn ayuu ku yidhi, Maxaa inoo dhexeeya, Ciisow, adigoo ah Wiilka Ilaaha sarow? Waxaan kaa baryayaa, Ha i silcin. 29 Waayo, wuxuu jinnigii wasakhda lahaa ku amray inuu ninka ka baxo, maxaa yeelay, marar badan ayuu qaban jiray, oo waxaa lagu xidhi jiray silsilado iyo bircago, oo waa la ilaalin jiray; silsiladihiina wuu iska gooyn jiray oo jinniguna cidlada ayuu u kaxayn jiray. 30 Markaasaa Ciise weyddiiyey oo ku yidhi, Magacaa? Oo wuxuu ku yidhi, Liijon; waayo, jinniyo badan ayaa galay. 31 Markaasay ka baryeen inaanu amrin inay yamayska tagaan. 32 Halkaa waxaa joogay daaqsin doofaarro badan ah oo buurta daaqaysa. Waxayna ka baryeen inuu u fasaxo inay kuwaas galaan. Kolkaasuu u fasaxay. 33 Markaasay jinniyadii ninkii ka baxeen oo doofaarradii galeen. Daqsintiina jarka hoos bay uga yaacday ilaa badda, wayna ku bakhtiyeen. 34 Kuwii daajin jiray markay arkeen waxa dhacay, ayay carareen oo dadkii magaalada iyo beerahaba ayay u warrameen. 35 Kolkaasaa dadkii u soo baxay inay arkaan wixii dhacay. Markaasay u yimaadeen Ciise, oo waxay arkeen ninkii jinniyadu ka baxeen, isagoo ag fadhiya Ciise cagihiisa oo dhar sita oo miyir qaba; wayna baqeen. 36 Kolkaasaa kuwii arkay waxay iyaga u sheegeen sida jinnoolihii loo bogsiiyey. 37 Dadkii oo dhan oo dalka Gadareni ku wareegsanaa ayaa baryay inuu ka noqdo iyaga, waayo, baqdin weyn ayay baqeen. Markaasuu doonni fuulay, waana noqday. 38 Laakiin ninkii jinniyadii ka baxeen ayaa ka baryay isaga inuu raaco, laakiin wuu diray isagoo ku leh, 39 Gurigaaga ku noqo oo dadka ogeysii waxa weyn oo Ilaah kuu sameeyey. Markaasuu tegey oo wuxuu magaalada oo dhan ku naadiyey waxa weyn oo Ciise u sameeyey.

Jesus Restores a Demon-Possessed Man(A)(B)
26 They sailed to the region of the Gerasenes,[a] which is across the lake from Galilee. 27 When Jesus stepped ashore, he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs. 28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me,(C) Jesus, Son of the Most High God?(D) I beg you, don’t torture me!” 29 For Jesus had commanded the impure spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was chained hand and foot and kept under guard, he had broken his chains and had been driven by the demon into solitary places.
30 Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”
“Legion,” he replied, because many demons had gone into him. 31 And they begged Jesus repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss.(E)
32 A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside. The demons begged Jesus to let them go into the pigs, and he gave them permission. 33 When the demons came out of the man, they went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake(F) and was drowned.
34 When those tending the pigs saw what had happened, they ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, 35 and the people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus, they found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet,(G) dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. 36 Those who had seen it told the people how the demon-possessed(H) man had been cured. 37 Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them,(I) because they were overcome with fear. So he got into the boat and left.
38 The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, 39 “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.
