¹¹ “As for me, ^(A)I baptize you ^[a]with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; ^(B)He will baptize you ^[b]with the Holy Spirit and fire. ¹² His ^(C)winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will ^(D)gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the ^(E)chaff with ^(F)unquenchable fire.”

⁶ For in ^(A)Christ Jesus ^(B)neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but ^(C)faith working through love.

²² You see that ^(A)faith was working with his works, and ^[a]as a result of the ^(B)works, faith was ^[b]perfected; ²³ and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “^(C)And Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called a ^(D)friend of God. ²⁴ You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.

²¹ But the one who ^(A)practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed ^[a]as having been performed in God.”

^13 (A)each one’s work will become evident; for ^(B)the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test ^[a]the quality of each one’s work. ¹⁴ If anyone’s work which he has built on it remains, he will ^(C)receive a reward. ¹⁵ If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet only ^(D)so as through fire.
