²² Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we ^(A)not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ ²³ And ^(B)then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; ^(C)depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

⁶ “And at midnight ^(A)a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom ^[a]is coming; go out to meet him!’ ⁷ Then all those virgins arose and ^(B)trimmed their lamps. ⁸ And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ ⁹ But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ ¹⁰ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and ^(C)the door was shut.

¹¹ “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ^(D)‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ ¹² But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, ^(E)I do not know you.’

²³ Then one said to Him, “Lord, are there ^(A)few who are saved?”

And He said to them, ^24 (B)“Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for ^(C)many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. ^25 (D)When once the Master of the house has risen up and ^(E)shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ^(F)‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ^(G)‘I do not know you, where you are from,’ ²⁶ then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’ ^27 (H)But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. ^(I)Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’
