Ang Pulong Sang Dios
Ang Pamangkot Parte sa Pagkabanhaw(A)
23 Sa amo man nga adlaw may mga Saduceo nga nagpalapit kay Jesus. (Ini nga mga tawo wala nagapati nga may pagkabanhaw.) Nagpamangkot sila, 24 “Manunudlo, nagsiling si Moises nga kon mapatay ang lalaki nga wala sila bata sang iya asawa, dapat ang iya utod ang magpangasawa sa nabalo agod makapabata siya para sa iya utod nga napatay.[a] 25 Karon, may pito diri anay ka mag-ulutod nga lalaki. Ang kamagulangan nagpangasawa, kag napatay nga wala sing bata. Gani ang balo ginpangasawa sang madason nga utod. 26 Ini siya napatay man nga wala sila sang bata. Gani ang balo ginpangasawa naman sang ikatlo kag amo man ang natabo sa iya kag sa tanan nga mag-ulutod hasta sa ikapito. 27 Sang ulihi ang babayi napatay man. 28 Karon, kon mag-abot na ang pagkabanhaw, kay sin-o gid siya asawa sang pito ka mag-ulutod, kay sila tanan nagpangasawa sa iya?”
29 Nagsiling si Jesus sa ila, “Sala gid kamo, tungod nga wala kamo nakaintiendi sang Kasulatan kag sang gahom sang Dios. 30 Sa adlaw sang pagkabanhaw, ang mga tawo indi na mag-asawahay tungod nga pareho na sila sang mga anghel sa langit. 31 Kon parte sa pagkabanhaw, wala bala ninyo mabasahi sa Kasulatan ang ginsiling sang Dios sa inyo nga 32 ‘Ako ang Dios ni Abraham, Isaac, kag Jacob’?[b] Ti buhi sila, kay ang Dios indi Dios sang mga patay kundi Dios sang mga buhi.” 33 Pagkabati sadto sang mga tawo natingala gid sila sang iya pagpanudlo.

Marriage at the Resurrection(A)
23 That same day the Sadducees,(B) who say there is no resurrection,(C) came to him with a question. 24 “Teacher,” they said, “Moses told us that if a man dies without having children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for him.(D) 25 Now there were seven brothers among us. The first one married and died, and since he had no children, he left his wife to his brother. 26 The same thing happened to the second and third brother, right on down to the seventh. 27 Finally, the woman died. 28 Now then, at the resurrection, whose wife will she be of the seven, since all of them were married to her?”
29 Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures(E) or the power of God. 30 At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage;(F) they will be like the angels in heaven. 31 But about the resurrection of the dead—have you not read what God said to you, 32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’[a]?(G) He is not the God of the dead but of the living.”
33 When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching.(H)

Ini nga mga tawo wala nagapati nga may pagkabanhaw. 28 Nagpamangkot sila, “Manunudlo, suno sa ginsulat ni Moises sa aton, kon mapatay ang lalaki nga wala sila sing bata sang iya asawa, dapat ang iya utod ang magpangasawa sa nabalo agod makapabata siya para sa iya utod nga napatay.[a] 29 Karon, may pito ka mag-ulutod nga lalaki. Ang kamagulangan nagpangasawa, kag napatay nga wala sing bata. 30 Gani ang balo ginpangasawa sang madason nga utod. Pero napatay man siya nga wala sila sang bata. 31 Amo man ang natabo sa ikatlo nga utod, hasta sa ikapito. Nagkalamatay sila tanan nga wala gid nakapabata sa sadto nga babayi. 32 Sang ulihi ang babayi napatay man. 33 Karon, kon mag-abot na ang pagkabanhaw, kay sin-o gid siya nga asawa? Kay sila nga pito nagpangasawa sa iya.”
34 Ginsabat sila ni Jesus, “Sa sini nga kalibutan nagaasawahay ang mga tawo. 35 Pero ang bisan sin-o nga suno sa Dios takos nga banhawon kag magkabuhi sa palaabuton nga panahon indi na magaasawahay. 36 Indi na sila mapatay tungod nga mangin pareho na sila sang mga anghel; mga anak sila sang Dios, kay ginbanhaw sila. 37 Kon parte sa pagbanhaw sang mga patay, bisan gani ang ginsiling ni Moises didto sa nagadabadaba nga kahoy-kahoy nagapamatuod sini. Indi bala nga gintawag niya ang Ginoo nga ‘Dios ni Abraham, Isaac, kag Jacob’[b]? 38 Ti buhi sila, kay ang Dios indi Dios sang mga patay kundi Dios sang mga buhi, kay kon sa iya, buhi ang tanan.” 39 Nagsiling ang iban nga mga manunudlo sang Kasuguan, “Manunudlo, husto ang imo sabat.” 40 Kag wala na gid sing may nangahas nga magpamangkot sa iya.

The Resurrection and Marriage(A)
27 Some of the Sadducees,(B) who say there is no resurrection,(C) came to Jesus with a question. 28 “Teacher,” they said, “Moses wrote for us that if a man’s brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother.(D) 29 Now there were seven brothers. The first one married a woman and died childless. 30 The second 31 and then the third married her, and in the same way the seven died, leaving no children. 32 Finally, the woman died too. 33 Now then, at the resurrection whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?”
34 Jesus replied, “The people of this age marry and are given in marriage. 35 But those who are considered worthy of taking part in the age to come(E) and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, 36 and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God’s children,(F) since they are children of the resurrection. 37 But in the account of the burning bush, even Moses showed that the dead rise, for he calls the Lord ‘the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’[a](G) 38 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive.”
39 Some of the teachers of the law responded, “Well said, teacher!” 40 And no one dared to ask him any more questions.(H)
