Ginbubuan si Jesus sang Pahamot sa Betania(A)
6 Sang didto si Jesus sa Betania, sa balay ni Simon nga sadto anay may delikado nga balatian sa panit,[a] 7 may nagpalapit sa iya nga isa ka babayi. May dala siya nga tibod-tibod nga may sulod nga malahalon gid nga pahamot. Samtang nagakaon si Jesus ginbubuan niya sang pahamot ang ulo ni Jesus.[b] 8 Pagkakita sadto sang iya mga sumulunod naakig sila kag nagsiling, “Ngaa ginausikan lang niya ina? 9 Sarang kuntani mabaligya ina sa dako nga kantidad kag ang iya bili ihatag sa mga imol!” 10 Nahibaluan ni Jesus kon ano ang ila ginhambal, gani nagsiling siya sa ila, “Ngaa ginatublag ninyo siya? Maayo ining iya ginhimo sa akon. 11 Ang mga imol permi ninyo makaupod, pero ako indi ninyo permi makaupod. 12 Ginbubuan niya sang pahamot ang akon lawas bilang pagpreparar sa akon lubong. 13 Sa pagkamatuod, bisan diin iwali ang Maayong Balita sa bug-os nga kalibutan, ang iya ginhimo sa akon isugid man bilang handumanan sa iya.”

Jesus Anointed at Bethany(A)(B)
6 While Jesus was in Bethany(C) in the home of Simon the Leper, 7 a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.
8 When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. “Why this waste?” they asked. 9 “This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.”
10 Aware of this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 11 The poor you will always have with you,[a](D) but you will not always have me. 12 When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.(E) 13 Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.”

12 Karon, sang anom na lang ka adlaw bag-o mag-abot ang piesta, nagkadto si Jesus sa Betania, sa lugar ni Lazarus nga iya ginbanhaw. 2 Nagpreparar sila sing panihapon para kay Jesus. Si Lazarus isa sa mga kaupod ni Jesus nga nagakaon sa lamisa. Si Marta amo ang nagaserbi. 3 Si Maria iya nagkuha sing mga tunga sa litro nga malahalon nga pahamot. Puro ini nga pahamot nga halin sa tanom nga nardo. Ginbubo niya ini sa tiil ni Jesus. Pagkatapos ginpahiran niya sang iya buhok. Kag napuno ang bug-os nga balay sang kahamot sang sadto nga pahamot. 4 Isa didto sa mga kaupod ni Jesus amo si Judas Iscariote,[a] nga amo ang magatraidor sa iya.[b] Nagsiling si Judas, 5 “Ang bili sang sina nga pahamot mga isa gid ka tuig nga suweldo sang isa ka tawo. Ngaa wala ina pag-ibaligya kag ang bili ipanghatag sa mga imol?” 6 Ginsiling niya ini, indi tungod kay naluoy siya sa mga imol, kundi tungod kay kawatan siya. Siya amo ang nagauyat sang ila kuwarta kag permi niya ini ginakuhaan. 7 Pero nagsiling si Jesus, “Pabay-i lang siya! Ipatago lang sa iya ang nabilin nga pahamot agod itigana sa akon lubong.[c] 8 Ang mga imol permi ninyo makaupod, pero ako indi ninyo permi makaupod.”

Jesus Anointed at Bethany(A)
12 Six days before the Passover,(B) Jesus came to Bethany,(C) where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. 2 Here a dinner was given in Jesus’ honor. Martha served,(D) while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him. 3 Then Mary took about a pint[a] of pure nard, an expensive perfume;(E) she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair.(F) And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.
4 But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him,(G) objected, 5 “Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages.[b]” 6 He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag,(H) he used to help himself to what was put into it.
7 “Leave her alone,” Jesus replied. “It was intended that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial.(I) 8 You will always have the poor among you,[c](J) but you will not always have me.”
