24 (A)Nígbà náà ni Olúwa rọ̀jò iná àti Sulfuru (òkúta iná) sórí Sodomu àti Gomorra—láti ọ̀run lọ́dọ̀ Olúwa wá. 25 Báyìí ni ó run àwọn ìlú náà àti gbogbo ilẹ̀ pẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀, pẹ̀lú gbogbo àwọn tí ó wà ní ìlú ńláńlá wọ̀n-ọn-nì àti ohun gbogbo tí ó hù jáde nílẹ̀. 26 (B)Ṣùgbọ́n aya Lọti bojú wo ẹ̀yìn, ó sì di ọ̀wọ́n iyọ̀.

27 Ní kùtùkùtù òwúrọ̀ ọjọ́ kejì, Abrahamu sì dìde ó sì padà lọ sí ibi tí ó gbé dúró níwájú Olúwa. 28 (C)Ó sì wo ìhà Sodomu àti Gomorra àti àwọn ilẹ̀ pẹ̀tẹ́lẹ̀ wọ̀n-ọn-nì, ó sì rí èéfín tí ń ti ibẹ̀ jáde bí èéfín iná ìléru.

24 Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur(A) on Sodom and Gomorrah(B)—from the Lord out of the heavens.(C) 25 Thus he overthrew those cities(D) and the entire plain,(E) destroying all those living in the cities—and also the vegetation in the land.(F) 26 But Lot’s wife looked back,(G) and she became a pillar of salt.(H)

27 Early the next morning Abraham got up and returned to the place where he had stood before the Lord.(I) 28 He looked down toward Sodom and Gomorrah, toward all the land of the plain, and he saw dense smoke rising from the land, like smoke from a furnace.(J)
