17 (A)Bí Jesu ti ń gòkè lọ sí Jerusalẹmu, ó pe àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀ méjìlá sí apá kan ó sì wí pé, 18 “Wò ó, àwa ń gòkè lọ sí Jerusalẹmu. Ó sọ fún wọn pé, a ó fi Ọmọ Ènìyàn lé àwọn olórí àlùfáà àti àwọn olùkọ́ òfin lọ́wọ́, wọn yóò sì dá mi lẹ́bi ikú. 19 Wọn yóò sì fà á lé àwọn kèfèrí lọ́wọ́ láti fi ṣe ẹlẹ́yà àti láti nàa án, àti láti kàn mi mọ́ àgbélébùú, ní ọjọ́ kẹta, yóò jí dìde.”

Jesus Predicts His Death a Third Time(A)
17 Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them, 18 “We are going up to Jerusalem,(B) and the Son of Man(C) will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law.(D) They will condemn him to death 19 and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged(E) and crucified.(F) On the third day(G) he will be raised to life!”(H)

31 (A)Nígbà náà ni ó pe àwọn méjìlá sọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀, ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Sá wò ó, àwa ń gòkè lọ sí Jerusalẹmu, a ó sì mú ohun gbogbo ṣẹ, tí a ti kọ láti ọwọ́ àwọn wòlíì, nítorí Ọmọ Ènìyàn. 32 Nítorí tí a ó fi lé àwọn aláìkọlà lọ́wọ́, a ó fi ṣe ẹlẹ́yà, a ó sì fi ṣe ẹ̀sín, a ó sì tutọ́ sí i lára. 33 Wọn ó sì nà án, wọn ó sì pa á: ní ọjọ́ kẹta yóò sì jíǹde.”
34 Ọ̀kan nínú nǹkan wọ̀nyí kò sì yé wọn: ọ̀rọ̀ yìí sì pamọ́ fún wọn, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọn kò sì mọ ohun tí a wí.

Jesus Predicts His Death a Third Time(A)
31 Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, “We are going up to Jerusalem,(B) and everything that is written by the prophets(C) about the Son of Man(D) will be fulfilled. 32 He will be delivered over to the Gentiles.(E) They will mock him, insult him and spit on him; 33 they will flog him(F) and kill him.(G) On the third day(H) he will rise again.”(I)
34 The disciples did not understand any of this. Its meaning was hidden from them, and they did not know what he was talking about.(J)
