14 And this (A)gospel of the kingdom (B)will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

The Great Tribulation(C)

15 (D)“Therefore when you see the (E)‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (F)(whoever reads, let him understand), 16 “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But (G)woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For (H)then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; (I)but for the [a]elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

23 (J)“Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 24 For (K)false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, (L)if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand.

26 “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 (M)For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 (N)For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together.

The Coming of the Son of Man(O)

29 (P)“Immediately after the tribulation of those days (Q)the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 (R)Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, (S)and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 (T)And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His [b]elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The Parable of the Fig Tree(U)

32 “Now learn (V)this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know (W)that [c]it is near—at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, (X)this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.

Perilous Times

15 “Therefore when you see the (D)abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in (E)the holy place—[b](F)let the [c]reader understand— 16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 17 [d]Whoever is on (G)the [e]housetop must not go down to get things out of his house. 18 And [f]whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. 19 But (H)woe to those women who are pregnant, and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 Moreover, pray that [g]when you flee, it will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. 21 For then there will be a (I)great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will again. 22 And if those days had not been cut short, no [h]life would have been saved; but for (J)the sake of the [i]elect those days will be cut short. 23 (K)Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the [j]Christ,’ or ‘He is over here,’ do not believe him. 24 For false christs and (L)false prophets will arise and will provide great [k](M)signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even (N)the [l]elect. 25 Behold, I have told you in advance. 26 So if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe them. 27 (O)For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will the (P)coming of the (Q)Son of Man [m]be. 28 (R)Wherever the corpse is, there the [n]vultures will gather.

The Glorious Return

29 “But immediately after the (S)tribulation of those days (T)the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and (U)the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 And then (V)the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see (W)the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. 31 And (X)He will send forth His angels with (Y)a great trumpet blast, and they will gather together His [o](Z)elect from (AA)the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

Parable of the Fig Tree

32 “Now learn the parable from the fig tree: as soon as its branch has become tender and sprouts its leaves, you know that summer is near; 33 so you too, when you see all these things, [p]recognize that [q]He is near, right (AB)at the [r]door. 34 Truly I say to you, (AC)this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
