²¹She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,^[a]^(A) because he will save his people from their sins.”^(B)

Matthew 1:21 Jesus is the Greek form of Joshua, which means the Lord saves.

⁵You know that He ^(A)appeared in order to ^(B)take away sins; and ^(C)in Him there is no sin.

⁵But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins.^(A) And in him is no sin.^(B)
