Matthew 1:21-23

21 She will give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus,[a] because he will save his people from their sins.”
22 All this happened to bring about what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will be pregnant. She will have a son, and they will name him Immanuel,”[b] which means “God is with us.”

New International Version
21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[a](A) because he will save his people from their sins.”(B)
22 All this took place to fulfill(C) what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”[b](D) (which means “God with us”).
