¹⁵ Truly I tell you, it will be more tolerable on the day of judgment^(A) for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.^(B)

²² But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment^(A) than for you.

²⁴ But I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”

³⁶ I tell you that on the day of judgment^(A) people will have to account^(B) for every careless^[a] word they speak.^[b]

⁹ then the Lord knows how to rescue^(A) the godly from trials and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment,^(B)
