^2 (A)Now the names of the twelve apostles are these: The first, ^(B)Simon, who is called Peter, and ^(C)Andrew his brother; and ^(D)James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

¹⁴ And He appointed twelve ^[a](whom He also named apostles) to be with Him and to send them out to preach,

¹³ And when day came, ^(A)He called His disciples to Him and chose twelve of them, whom He also named as ^(B)apostles:

^10 (A)And when the apostles returned, they recounted to Him all that they had done. ^(B)Taking them with Him, He slipped away by Himself to a city called ^(C)Bethsaida.

^5 (A)And the apostles said to ^(B)the Lord, “Increase our faith!”

^14 (A)And when the hour had come, He reclined at the table, and ^(B)the apostles with Him.

¹⁰ Now ^(A)Mary Magdalene and Joanna and Mary the mother of James and the rest of the women with them were there; they were telling these things to ^(B)the apostles.

² until the day when He ^(A)was taken up to heaven, after He ^(B)had ^[a]by the Holy Spirit given orders to ^(C)the apostles whom He had ^(D)chosen,

²⁶ And they ^[a](A)cast lots for them, and the lot fell ^[b]to ^(B)Matthias; and he was ^[c]added to ^(C)the eleven apostles.
