The Meaning of Discipleship

²⁴ “^(A)A ^[a]disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master.

¹⁶ Truly, truly I say to you, ^(A)a slave is not greater than his master, nor is ^(B)[a]one who is sent greater than the one who sent him.

²⁰ Remember the word that I said to you, ‘^(A)A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, ^(B)they will persecute you as well; if they ^(C)followed My word, they will follow yours also.
