6 And blessed is he that shall not be offended in me.
7 [a]And as they departed, Jesus began to speak unto the multitude of John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? a reed shaken with the wind?
8 But what went ye out to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold they that wear soft clothing, are in kings’ houses.

7 As John’s(B) disciples were leaving, Jesus began to speak to the crowd about John: “What did you go out into the wilderness(C) to see? A reed swayed by the wind? 8 If not, what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine clothes? No, those who wear fine clothes are in kings’ palaces.
