²² And the one on whom seed was sown among the thorns, this is the one who hears the word, and the worry of ^(A)the ^[a]world and the ^(B)deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

³⁹ and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is ^(A)the ^[a]end of the age; and the reapers are angels.

^30 [a]except one who will receive one hundred times as much now in ^[b]the present age—houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions—and in ^(A)the age to come, eternal life.

⁸ And his ^[a]master praised the unrighteous steward because he had acted shrewdly, for the sons of ^(A)this age are more shrewd in relation to their own ^[b]kind than the ^(B)sons of light.

³⁰ who will not receive many times more at this time and in ^(A)the age to come, eternal life.”

³⁴ And Jesus said to them, “The sons of ^(A)this age marry and are given in marriage, ³⁵ but those who are considered worthy to attain to ^(B)that age and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage.

²¹ far above ^(A)all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every ^(B)name that is named, not only in ^(C)this age but also in the one to come.

¹⁷ Command those who are rich in ^(A)this present age ^(B)not to be haughty or to ^(C)set their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, ^(D)who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.

¹⁰ for ^(A)Demas, having loved ^(B)this present age, has deserted me and gone to ^(C)Thessalonica; Crescens has gone to ^[a](D)Galatia, ^(E)Titus to Dalmatia.
