24 But the boat was already [a]a long distance from the land, [b]battered by the waves; for the wind was [c](A)contrary. 25 And in (B)the [d]fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea. 26 When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is (C)a ghost!” And they cried out [e]in fear.

New International Version
24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.
25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,”(A) they said, and cried out in fear.
