27 At once [Jesus] spoke to them, “Take courage, it is I;[a] do not be afraid.” 28 Peter said to him in reply, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” 29 He said, “Come.” Peter got out of the boat and began to walk on the water toward Jesus.

27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage!(A) It is I. Don’t be afraid.”(B)
28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
29 “Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
