Causing to Stumble

⁶ “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.^(A)

⁷ Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!^(A)

²⁴ The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him.^(A) But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.”

Causing to Stumble

⁴² “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble,^(A) it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.^(B)

⁶ God is just:^(A) He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you^(B)

¹¹ Woe to them! They have taken the way of Cain;^(A) they have rushed for profit into Balaam’s error;^(B) they have been destroyed in Korah’s rebellion.^(C)
