12 After being warned in a dream not to return to Herod,[a] they went back by another route to their own country.
The Escape to Egypt
13 After they had gone, an[b] angel of the Lord[c] appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Get up, take the child and his mother and flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, for Herod[d] is going to look for the child to kill him.” 14 Then he got up, took the child and his mother during[e] the night, and went to Egypt.

New International Version
12 And having been warned(A) in a dream(B) not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.

13 When they had gone, an angel(C) of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream.(D) “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”(E)
14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt,
