Matthew 20:12-14

12 saying, These last have spent but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, who have borne the burden of the day and the [a]scorching heat. 13 But he answered and said to one of them, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a [b]shilling? 14 Take up that which is thine, and go thy way; it is my will to give unto this last, even as unto thee.

12 ‘These who were hired last worked only one hour,’ they said, ‘and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat(A) of the day.’
13 “But he answered one of them, ‘I am not being unfair to you, friend.(B) Didn’t you agree to work for a denarius? 14 Take your pay and go. I want to give the one who was hired last the same as I gave you.
