Matthew 20:12-14
New English Translation
12 saying, ‘These last fellows worked one hour, and you have made them equal to us who bore the hardship and burning heat of the day.’ 13 And the landowner[a] replied to one of them,[b] ‘Friend, I am not treating you unfairly. Didn’t you agree with me to work for the standard wage?[c] 14 Take what is yours and go. I[d] want to give to this last man[e] the same as I gave to you.

New International Version
12 ‘These who were hired last worked only one hour,’ they said, ‘and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat(A) of the day.’
13 “But he answered one of them, ‘I am not being unfair to you, friend.(B) Didn’t you agree to work for a denarius? 14 Take your pay and go. I want to give the one who was hired last the same as I gave you.
