Matthew 21:16-18

¹⁶and said to Him, “Do You hear what these children are saying?”

“Yes,” Jesus told them. “Have you never read:

You have prepared^[a] praise^(A)
from the mouths of children and nursing infants?”^[b]

¹⁷Then He left them, went out of the city to Bethany,^(B) and spent the night there.

¹⁸Early in the morning,^(C) as He was returning to the city, He was hungry.

“‘From the lips of children and infants
you, Lord, have called forth your praise’^[a]?”^(A)
