¹²So he said to him, ‘Friend,^(A) how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ The man was speechless.

¹²He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend^(A)?’ The man was speechless.

⁵⁰“Friend,”^(A) Jesus asked him, “why have you come?”^[a]

Then they came up, took hold of Jesus, and arrested Him.

Matthew 26:50 Or Jesus told him, “do what you have come for.” (as a statement)

⁵⁰Jesus replied, “Do what you came for, friend.”^[a]^(A)

Then the men stepped forward, seized Jesus and arrested him.
