22 And the one who swears by [a]heaven, (A)swears both by the throne of God and by Him who sits upon it.
23 “(B)Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and [b]cumin, and have neglected the weightier provisions of the Law: justice and mercy and faithfulness; but these are the things you should have done without neglecting the others. 24 You (C)blind guides, who [c]strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!

22 And anyone who swears by heaven swears by God’s throne and by the one who sits on it.(A)
23 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth(B) of your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness.(C) You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. 24 You blind guides!(D) You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.

22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.
23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
