35 so that upon you will fall the guilt of all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous (A)Abel to the blood of Zechariah, the (B)son of Berechiah, whom (C)you murdered between the [a]temple and the altar. 36 Truly I say to you, all these things will come upon (D)this generation.

36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
