⁴¹ “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘^(A)Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the ^(B)eternal fire which has been prepared for ^(C)the devil and his angels;

⁸ executing vengeance on those who ^(A)do not know God and to those who ^(B)do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. ⁹ These will pay the penalty of ^(C)eternal destruction, ^(D)away from the presence of the ^[a]Lord and from the glory of His might, ¹⁰ when He comes to be ^(E)glorified ^[b]in His ^[c]saints on that ^(F)day, and to be marveled at among all who have believed—for our ^(G)witness to you was believed. ¹¹ To this end also we ^(H)pray for you always, that our God will ^[d](I)count you worthy of your ^(J)calling, and fulfill all your ^(K)good pleasure for ^(L)goodness and the ^(M)work of faith with power, ¹² so that the ^(N)name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

⁷ But by His word ^(A)the present heavens and earth are being reserved for ^(B)fire, being kept for ^(C)the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
