38 Then he said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved, even to death; remain here, and stay awake with me.”(A) 39 And going a little farther, he threw himself on the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me, yet not what I want but what you want.”(B) 40 Then he came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and he said to Peter, “So, could you not stay awake with me one hour?(C)

38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow(A) to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”(B)
39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup(C) be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”(D)
40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me(E) for one hour?” he asked Peter.
