55 At that time Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you really come out with swords and sticks to arrest me, as if I were some kind of brigand? I sat there teaching in the Temple every day, and you didn’t lay hands on me! 56 But all this has happened so that the writings of the prophets would be fulfilled.”
Then all the disciples abandoned him and ran away.

57 The people who had seized Jesus took him off to Caiaphas the high priest. The scribes and elders had already gathered at his house.

New International Version
55 In that hour Jesus said to the crowd, “Am I leading a rebellion, that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me? Every day I sat in the temple courts teaching,(A) and you did not arrest me. 56 But this has all taken place that the writings of the prophets might be fulfilled.”(B) Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.

57 Those who had arrested Jesus took him to Caiaphas(D) the high priest, where the teachers of the law and the elders had assembled.
