Matthew 27:40-42

⁴⁰ And they said, You Who would tear down the ^[a]sanctuary of the temple and rebuild it in three days, rescue Yourself ^[b]from death. If You are the Son of God, come down from the cross.

⁴¹ In the same way the chief priests, with the scribes and elders, made sport of Him, saying,

⁴² He rescued others ^[c]from death; Himself He cannot rescue ^[d]from death. He is the King of Israel? Let Him come down from the cross now, and we will believe in and ^[e]acknowledge and cleave to Him.
