2 “(A)Repent, for (B)the kingdom of heaven [a]is at hand.” 3 For this is the (C)one referred to [b]by Isaiah the prophet when he said,
“(D)The voice of one [c]calling [d]out in the wilderness,
‘(E)Prepare the way of the Lord,
Make His paths straight!’”
4 Now John himself had [e](F)a garment of camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist; and his food was (G)locusts and wild honey.

“A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.’”[a](B)
