2 “Turn away from your sins, for the kingdom of heaven is near!” [a] 3 For he is the one Isaiah the prophet spoke about, saying,
“The voice of one crying in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way of Adonai, and make His paths straight.’”[b]
4 Now John wore clothing from camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist, and his food was locusts[c] and wild honey.

2 and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven(A) has come near.” 3 This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah:
“A voice of one calling in the wilderness,
‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.’”[a](B)
