16 (A) Make your light shine, so others will see the good you do and will praise your Father in heaven.

17 Don't suppose I came to do away with the Law and the Prophets.[a] I did not come to do away with them, but to give them their full meaning. 18 (B) Heaven and earth may disappear. But I promise you not even a period or comma will ever disappear from the Law. Everything written in it must happen.

17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.(D) 18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.(E)
