²² But Jesus *said to him, “^(A)Follow Me, and allow the dead to bury their own dead.”

⁶⁰ But He said to him, “Allow the dead to bury their own dead; but as for you, go and ^(A)proclaim everywhere the kingdom of God.”

³² But we had to celebrate and rejoice, for this brother of yours was ^(A)dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been found.’”

¹⁵ For if their rejection is the ^(A)reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but ^(B)life from the dead?

Made Alive in Christ

2 And you ^[a]were ^(A)dead ^[b]in your trespasses and sins,

⁵ even when we were ^(A)dead ^[a]in our transgressions, made us alive together ^[b]with Christ (^(B)by grace you have been saved),

¹⁴ For this reason ^[a]it says,

¹³ When you were ^(A)dead ^[a]in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He ^(B)made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,

⁶ But she who ^(A)gives herself to wanton pleasure is ^(B)dead even while she lives.
