⁶ and saying, “^[a]Lord, my ^[b]servant is lying ^(A)paralyzed at home, terribly tormented.”

^2 (A)And they brought to Him a ^(B)paralyzed man lying on a stretcher. And seeing their faith, Jesus said to the man who was paralyzed, “^(C)Take courage, ^[a]son; ^(D)your sins are forgiven.”

⁶ But so that you may know that ^(A)the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—then He *said to the ^(B)paralyzed man, “Get up, pick up your stretcher and go home.”

^3 (A)And some people *came, bringing to Him a man who was ^(B)paralyzed, carried by four men. ⁴ And when they were unable to ^[a]get to Him because of the crowd, they ^(C)removed the roof ^[b]above Him; and after digging an opening, they let down the pallet on which the ^(D)paralyzed man was lying. ⁵ And Jesus, seeing their faith, *said to the paralyzed man, “Son, ^(E)your sins are forgiven.”

⁹ Which is easier, to say to the ^(A)paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven’; or to say, ‘Get up, and pick up your pallet and walk’?
