¹² Now when he heard this, he said, “It is not those who are well who need a doctor, but those who are sick.^(A)

¹⁷ When Jesus heard this, he told them, “It is not those who are well who need^(A) a doctor,^(B) but those who are sick.^(C) I didn’t come to call the righteous,^(D) but sinners.”^(E)

³¹ Jesus replied to them, “It is not those who are healthy who need a doctor, but those who are sick.

¹¹ When the crowds found out, they followed him. He welcomed them,^(A) spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.

⁴² but one thing is necessary.^[a](A) Mary has made the right choice,^[b] and it will not be taken away from her.”
