Matthew 9:16-18
1599 Geneva Bible
16 Moreover, no man pieceth an old garment with a piece of [a]new cloth: for that that should fill it up, taketh away from the garment, and the breach is worse.
17 Neither do they put new wine into old vessels: for then the vessels would break, and the wine would be spilt, and the vessels would perish: but they put new wine into new vessels, and so are both preserved.
18 ¶ (A)[b]While he thus spake unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is now deceased: but come and lay thine hand on her, and she shall live.

Matthew 9:16-18
New International Version
16 “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse. 17 Neither do people pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst; the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
