⁵⁵ Isn’t this the carpenter’s son?^(A) Isn’t His mother called Mary, and His brothers James,^(B) Joseph,^[a] Simon, and Judas?^(C)

³ Isn’t this the carpenter,^(A) the son of Mary,^(B) and the brother of James,^(C) Joses, Judas,^(D) and Simon? And aren’t His sisters here with us?” So they were offended^(E) by Him.

¹² After this, He went down to Capernaum,^(A) together with His mother, His brothers,^(B) and His disciples, and they stayed there only a few days.

³ so His brothers^(A) said to Him, “Leave here and go to Judea so Your disciples can see Your works^(B) that You are doing.

Jesus at the Festival of Tabernacles

¹⁰ After His brothers had gone up to the festival, then He also went up, not openly but secretly.

¹⁴ All these were continually united^(A) in prayer,^[a] along with the women, including Mary^[b] the mother of Jesus, and His brothers.^(B)

⁵ Don’t we have the right to be accompanied by a Christian wife^[a] like the other apostles,^(A) the Lord’s brothers, and Cephas?^(B)

¹⁹ But I didn’t see any of the other apostles except James,^(A) the Lord’s brother.
