²² Immediately^(A) He^[a] made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of Him to the other side, while He dismissed the crowds.

²² One day He and His disciples got into a boat,^(A) and He told them, “Let’s cross over to the other side of the lake.”^(B) So they set out,

¹⁵ Therefore, when Jesus knew that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king,^(A) He withdrew again^[a] to the mountain by Himself.

The Fifth Sign: Walking on Water

¹⁶ When^(B) evening came, His disciples went down to the sea, ¹⁷ got into a boat, and started across the sea to Capernaum.^(C) Darkness had already set in, but Jesus had not yet come to them.
