^19 (A)For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, acts of adultery, other immoral sexual acts, thefts, false testimonies, and ^[a]slanderous statements.

²¹ For from within, out of the ^[a]hearts of people, come the evil thoughts, acts of sexual immorality, thefts, murders, acts of adultery,

¹² For ^(A)the word of God is ^(B)living and ^(C)active, and sharper than any two-edged ^(D)sword, even penetrating as far as the division of ^(E)soul and ^(F)spirit, of both joints and marrow, and ^(G)able to ^[a]judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

²⁶ Moreover, I will give you a ^(A)new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the ^(B)heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

¹⁷ Therefore if anyone is ^(A)in Christ, this person is ^(B)a new ^[a]creation; ^(C)the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

²⁴ and to ^(A)put on the ^(B)new ^[a]self, which ^[b](C)in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

^16 (A)Do you not know that ^(B)you are a ^[a]temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? ¹⁷ If anyone destroys the ^[b]temple of God, God will destroy ^[c]that person; for the ^[d]temple of God is holy, ^[e]and that is what you are.

¹⁷ But the one who joins himself to the Lord is ^(A)one spirit with Him.
