⁴² Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures:

¹⁰ Haven’t you read this Scripture:^(A)

¹⁷ But He looked at them and said, “Then what is the meaning of this Scripture:^[a](A)

¹¹ This Jesus is

¹¹ For no one can lay any other foundation^(A) than what has been laid down. That foundation is Jesus Christ.

²⁰ built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets,^(A) with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone.
