³⁹ And He went a little beyond them, and fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let ^(A)this cup pass from Me; ^(B)yet not as I will, but as You will.”

⁴² He went away again a second time and prayed, saying, “My Father, if this cup ^(A)cannot pass away unless I drink from it, ^(B)Your will be done.”

⁴⁴ And He left them again, and went away and prayed a third time, saying the same thing once more.

³⁶ And He was saying, “^(A)Abba! ^[a]Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; ^(B)yet not what I will, but what You will.”

³⁹ And again He went away and prayed, saying the same ^[a]words.

⁴¹ And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and He ^(A)knelt down and began to pray,

⁴⁴ And ^(A)being in agony, He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground].
