³⁵ And when they had crucified Him, ^(A)they divided His garments among themselves by casting ^[a]lots.

²⁴ And they *crucified Him, and *^(A)divided up His garments among themselves, casting ^[a]lots for them to decide ^[b]what each man would take.

³⁴ [^[a]But Jesus was saying, “^(A)Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.”] ^(B)And they cast lots, dividing His garments among themselves.

²⁴ So they said to one another, “^(A)Let’s not tear it, but cast lots for it, to decide whose it shall be.” ^(B)This happened so that the Scripture would be fulfilled: “They ^(C)divided My garments among themselves, and they cast ^[a]lots for My clothing.” Therefore the soldiers did these things.
