15 For it came to pass, when Dovid was in Edom, and Yoav Sar HaTzava was gone up to bury the slain, after he had struck down every zakhar in Edom;

16 (For six months did Yoav remain there with kol Yisroel, until he had cut off every zakhar in Edom);

17 That Hadad fled, he and anashim Adomiyyim (certain men of Edom) of his father’s avadim with him, to go into Mitzrayim; Hadad being yet a na’ar katan (small child).

15 Earlier when David was fighting with Edom, Joab the commander of the army, who had gone up to bury the dead, had struck down all the men in Edom.(A) 16 Joab and all the Israelites stayed there for six months, until they had destroyed all the men in Edom. 17 But Hadad, still only a boy, fled to Egypt with some Edomite officials who had served his father.
