7 Then the (A)remnant of Jacob
Will be among many peoples
Like (B)dew from the Lord,
Like (C)showers on vegetation
That do not wait for man,
Or delay for [a]mankind.
8 The remnant of Jacob
Will be among the nations,
Among many peoples
(D)Like a lion among the animals of the forest,
Like a young lion among flocks of sheep,
Which, if he passes through,
(E)Tramples and (F)tears,
And there is (G)no one who can rescue.
9 Your hand will be (H)lifted up against your adversaries,
And all your enemies will be eliminated.
10 “And it will be on that day,” declares the Lord,
“(I)That I will eliminate your (J)horses from among you,
And destroy your chariots.
11 I will also eliminate the (K)cities of your land,
And tear down all your (L)fortifications.
12 I will eliminate (M)sorceries from your hand,
And you will have no fortune-tellers.
13 (N)I will eliminate your carved images
And your memorial stones from among you,
So that you will no longer bow down
To the work of your hands.
14 I will uproot your [b](O)Asherim from among you,
And destroy your cities.
15 And I will (P)execute vengeance in anger and wrath
On the nations which have not obeyed.”

7 The remnant(A) of Jacob will be
in the midst of many peoples
like dew(B) from the Lord,
like showers on the grass,(C)
which do not wait for anyone
or depend on man.
8 The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations,
in the midst of many peoples,
like a lion among the beasts of the forest,(D)
like a young lion among flocks of sheep,
which mauls and mangles(E) as it goes,
and no one can rescue.(F)
9 Your hand will be lifted up(G) in triumph over your enemies,
and all your foes will be destroyed.
10 “In that day,” declares the Lord,
“I will destroy your horses from among you
and demolish your chariots.(H)
11 I will destroy the cities(I) of your land
and tear down all your strongholds.(J)
12 I will destroy your witchcraft
and you will no longer cast spells.(K)
13 I will destroy your idols(L)
and your sacred stones from among you;(M)
you will no longer bow down
to the work of your hands.(N)
14 I will uproot from among you your Asherah poles[a](O)
when I demolish your cities.
15 I will take vengeance(P) in anger and wrath
on the nations that have not obeyed me.”
