Micah 7:9-11
New International Reader's Version
9 We’ve sinned against the Lord.
So he is angry with us.
His anger will continue until he takes up our case.
Then he’ll do what is right for us.
He’ll bring us out into the light.
Then we’ll see him save us.
10 Our enemies will see it too.
And they will be put to shame.
After all, they said to us,
‘Where is the Lord your God?’
But we will see them destroyed.
Soon they will be stomped on
like mud in the streets.”
11 People of Jerusalem, the time will come
when your walls will be rebuilt.
Land will be added to your territory.
Micah 7:9-11
New International Version
9 Because I have sinned against him,
I will bear the Lord’s wrath,(A)
until he pleads my case(B)
and upholds my cause.
He will bring me out into the light;(C)
I will see his righteousness.(D)
10 Then my enemy will see it
and will be covered with shame,(E)
she who said to me,
“Where is the Lord your God?”(F)
My eyes will see her downfall;(G)
even now she will be trampled(H) underfoot
like mire in the streets.
11 The day for building your walls(I) will come,
the day for extending your boundaries.
