Legacy Standard Bible
25 So (A)I contended with them and cursed them and (B)struck some of them and pulled out their hair and (C)made them swear by God, “You shall not give your daughters to their sons, nor take up their daughters for your sons or for yourselves. 26 (D)Did not Solomon king of Israel sin regarding these things? (E)Yet among the many nations there was no king like him, and (F)he was loved by his God, and God gave him to be king over all Israel; nevertheless the foreign women caused even him to sin. 27 [a]Do we then hear about you that you have done all this great evil (G)by acting unfaithfully against our God by [b]marrying foreign women?”

Nehemiah 13:25-27
New International Version
25 I rebuked them and called curses down on them. I beat some of the men and pulled out their hair. I made them take an oath(A) in God’s name and said: “You are not to give your daughters in marriage to their sons, nor are you to take their daughters in marriage for your sons or for yourselves.(B) 26 Was it not because of marriages like these that Solomon king of Israel sinned? Among the many nations there was no king like him.(C) He was loved by his God,(D) and God made him king over all Israel, but even he was led into sin by foreign women.(E) 27 Must we hear now that you too are doing all this terrible wickedness and are being unfaithful to our God by marrying(F) foreign women?”
