12 Next to him Shallum the son of Hallo′hesh, ruler of half the district of[a] Jerusalem, repaired, he and his daughters.
13 Hanun and the inhabitants of Zano′ah repaired the Valley Gate; they rebuilt it and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and repaired a thousand cubits of the wall, as far as the Dung Gate.
14 Malchi′jah the son of Rechab, ruler of the district of[b] Beth-hacche′rem, repaired the Dung Gate; he rebuilt it and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars.

12 Shallum son of Hallohesh, ruler of a half-district of Jerusalem, repaired the next section with the help of his daughters.
13 The Valley Gate(A) was repaired by Hanun and the residents of Zanoah.(B) They rebuilt it and put its doors with their bolts and bars in place. They also repaired a thousand cubits[a] of the wall as far as the Dung Gate.(C)
14 The Dung Gate was repaired by Malkijah son of Rekab, ruler of the district of Beth Hakkerem.(D) He rebuilt it and put its doors with their bolts and bars in place.
