3 Therefore, we prayed to our God and posted guards against them day and night in an attempt to foil their plans.
4 Meanwhile, the Judahites were saying: “The strength of the laborers is beginning to falter, and the rubbish is so extensive that we will not be able to rebuild the wall.” 5 However, our enemies, who were adamant in their belief that we would not know or see anything before they came into our midst, prepared to kill us and put a stop to the work.

3 Tobiah(A) the Ammonite, who was at his side, said, “What they are building—even a fox climbing up on it would break down their wall of stones!”(B)
4 Hear us, our God, for we are despised.(C) Turn their insults back on their own heads. Give them over as plunder in a land of captivity. 5 Do not cover up their guilt(D) or blot out their sins from your sight,(E) for they have thrown insults in the face of[a] the builders.
